In 2014, Aurora Nealand and Justin Peake performed with Simon Berz at L'Arc (Migros Kulturprozent Culturfoundation) in the former Benedictine monastery of Romainmôtier in western Swiss Jura. Over the course of a week, the musicians from New Orleans and Switzerland experimented with field recordings, electronics, and improvisation on drums and percussion, piano, accordion, and saxophone in the former monastery. Inspired by earlier collaborations between Berz and the New Orleans musicians, this live concert demonstrates the unique sensibility created between the improvisers, electronics, and the natural soundscape of the environment.
